The World Wide Web (www) was created in 1989; we have come a long way in 22 years. It will be interesting to see where we are a decade from now
A website is a reflection on you; thus, it could be considered an informational site for you or your services / product. It gives someone an opportunity to familiarize themselves with you regarding your skills, talents and value. My website http://www.kgdavisconsulting.com is not for commercial purposes but I do want to make certain that individuals understand what I can offer. I hope my website informs the viewer about my skills and experience in Clinical Drug Development – Clinical Operations. In addition, my website provides the viewer with the option to connect to important Clinical Drug Development, Food and Drug Administration and Professional Organizational websites.
I consider myself technically challenged, that being the case; I hired someone to design my website. I supplied the content; at the time I felt it was in my best interest to hire an expert. My “Home” and “About” page provides the viewer with an overview of my experience, ability and efficiency, as well as the value I bring to the table. The next page I would like to point out is the “Links” page. As I mentioned previously, the viewer has the ability to connect to Industry and/or government drug development sites. Lastly, my “article” page was established to provide the viewer with a taste of my depth of experience and knowledge. I have also provided my blog link http://rubykgdavis.wordpress.com
In today’s environment with so many step-by-step tools available you can set up your own website even though you may not have web design experience. As you are probably aware, you can Google “website” to get started; in my opinion http://www.website.com is a good place to start.
The most important and continual concern for any website owner is the number of visitors he/she has and what pages are visited. Thus, when you determine your web traffic by monitoring incoming and outgoing traffic and which pages are popular you can revise your website accordingly. Choosing the right key words is critical. Also, Google places a lot weight on link popularity and getting other websites to link to your own website. I must admit I need to work on getting other websites to link to mine.
I am interested in updating my website, what in your opinion, is the number 1 thing I should do?
